CEO Seo Sang-in (49) of Computer Mate Co., Ltd., a first-time graduate of Yeungnam University's Department of Computer Engineering (at the time, Class of 1985) visited his alma mater on the 7th and delivered 10 million won as a development fund, asking to use it for his juniors.

CEO Seo, who started a company after graduating from college in 1992 and now leads a company with branches in China and Japan, did not forget his alma mater and his juniors even 20 years after graduating from college and donated a development fund.

CEO Seo said, "It's not a lot of money, but I hope it will be of some help to my juniors in their studies," and added, "I will spare no effort in providing support in both material and spiritual ways to help my juniors develop their creative capabilities and advance into society."

Yeungnam University plans to use the development fund donated by CEO Seo for programs to foster students’ expertise and creativity. On this day, the Department of Computer Engineering at Yeungnam University (Department Chair Lee Ki-dong) signed an agreement for industry-academia cooperation with Computer Mate Co., Ltd.

The two organizations will △ develop and participate in educational programs such as curriculum and field training to foster creative convergence talents required by companies △ promote new technologies and start-ups by supporting SW and start-up idea competitions △ participate in joint and commissioned research △ hold seminars, We agreed to pool our capabilities to share the latest technology and industry trend information through workshops and to share employment information to promote student employment.
