Leading the way in fostering local SW companies by utilizing cloud services

Daegu City is promoting cloud service-related projects for local companies in connection with Naver Business Platform (NBP) to secure the competitiveness of the local cloud industry and promote the use of private cloud services.

Daegu City promotes support project to create local cloud ecosystem

[Industry News Reporter Bang Je-il] This project, hosted by the Daegu Digital Industry Promotion Agency, held a support project information session for local SW companies last July and selected two companies after expert evaluation. The main business contents include technical services and commercialization support, technical consulting on infrastructure configuration and use, and marketing.

Daegu City and Daegu Digital Industry Promotion Agency are also promoting the Naver Cloud Platform Infrastructure Support Project, which supports the use of NBP's cloud infrastructure (IaaS) for one year to enable local SW companies to transition to cloud-based.
Computer Mate is an IT solution specialist company that is developing a cloud-based smart factory operating system for small and medium-sized manufacturing companies linked to AI services, hoping to improve productivity and facility operation efficiency.

Art Map is a startup that provides curation services for artworks, and is expected to develop a taste recommendation algorithm based on art market and artwork data analysis and increase the overall stability of the system and reliability of data for P2P transaction services.

Baek Wang-heum, head of Daegu City Smart City Development Department, said, “In the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, a change to a cloud-based company is inevitable,” adding that this collaboration with Naver will go beyond creating a cloud service ecosystem and form a foundation for local SW companies to grow. “I hope it will be helpful,” he said.
