[Daegu = Daily Korea Reporter Jeong Hee-cheol] Daegu City announced on the 30th that it had selected three consortia for the Metaverse-based regional small and medium-sized enterprise manufacturing process innovation support project.

The ‘Metaverse-based manufacturing process innovation support project’ is a project that supports the establishment of a metafactory by innovating the manufacturing process using metaverse technology for companies that have completed upgrading their manufacturing capabilities through existing smart factory projects.

A business announcement was made on May 10 through Daegu Techno Park, the project executing agency, and a consortium was publicly recruited between manufacturing introduction (demand) companies and supply companies with information and communication technology capabilities. After presentation evaluation and on-site evaluation, 9 consortia were selected. Three consortia were finally selected.

The consortium (demand company - representative supplier company) selected through an evaluation of strategy, service provision ability, support feasibility and effectiveness is Jinyang Oil Seal Co., Ltd. - Computer Mate Co., Ltd., Korea OSG Co., Ltd. - ITSCO, and PacificX Korea Co., Ltd. - InterX Co., Ltd. .

The selected corporate consortium will receive expert consulting on metaverse technology development and commercialization and promote the creation of best practices for regional metafactories.

We also plan to discover projects that can be linked to the Metaverse government-funded project.

Choi Woon-baek, head of Daegu City's Future Innovation Growth Office, said, “Through this project, we will help local companies improve metaverse-based process services and secure corporate competitiveness, and further contribute to increasing productivity, reducing defects, and reducing costs for local manufacturing companies through the introduction of metaverse solutions. “I will do it,” he said.
