The Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) announced that demand and supply companies that participated in the 'Artificial Intelligence (AI) Convergence Regional Specialized Industry Support Project' signed export contracts worth a total of $840,000.

NIPA, which is operating the Korean pavilion at the '2023 Smart City Expo' held in Barcelona, Spain until the 9th, held an investment attraction (IR) public briefing session on the 7th and made presentations on AI convergence technologies and solutions of companies participating in this exhibition. During this exhibition period, a total of 6 cases were presented by 5 companies, including AI development companies such as Gwangju Biobrain and Inbiz, Daegu Computer Mate, and Jeju Next Easy, and Jeju demand company Quantum Solution.
An export contract was signed.

In detail, the Gwangju Information and Culture Industry Promotion Agency, which oversees the Gwangju medical and healthcare industry AI convergence support project, announced that two companies, including Biobrain and Inbiz, signed export contracts worth a total of $150,000. BioBrain signed a contract with Taiwan's Artise Biomedical to supply AI-based multi-channel EEG and neurofeedback devices and application software. The contract amount is $100,000. Inbiz, which developed a smart integrated control system using an emotion recognition solution, signed a supply contract with an Indonesian construction company.

Jeju Techno Park, which oversees the Jeju green energy industry AI convergence support project, announced that Next Easy signed a supply contract worth $140,000 to Vietnam, and among demand companies, Quantum Solutions won a total of $450,000 export contract to Canada.

Next Easy, an AI development company, received proposals from two companies, Vietnam's NC9 VINA and TD Construction, and developed a 'solar power plant AI power generation prediction system' by reflecting the requests of the companies and delivered $70,000 each, a total of $140,000. A contract was signed. Quantum Solutions, a demand company, introduced the electric vehicle battery diagnostic function developed by Flexync, an AI specialist company, by applying it to a charger. Quantum Solution signed a supply contract with Canada's Foreseeson Technology, which showed interest in electric vehicle chargers. The total amount is $450,000.

Daegu Techno Park, which oversees the AI convergence support project for the Daegu transportation equipment and machinery materials and parts industry, said Computer Mate, which participated as an AI development company, signed a supply contract worth $100,000 to Mexico, and IDB signed a business agreement with two companies in China and India. They announced that they signed an MOU and are expecting a total export effect of $1.1 million.

Kim Young-bu, a senior researcher at NIPA who is in charge of this project, said, “The number of cases where local demand companies are challenging the global market is increasing, and the technological competitiveness of AI specialized companies that participated as supply companies has also grown significantly, so it is a great achievement that their true value has been recognized.” “We expect that the AI convergence regional specialized industry support project, which will be completed at the end of the year, will further strengthen the foundation of the digital ecosystem by leading to the joint growth of local industries and AI specialized companies,” he emphasized.

Meanwhile, a total of KRW 34.1 billion has been invested by the end of this year in the 'AI Convergence Regional Specialized Industry Support Project', which the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) has been promoting since 2020 to improve the competitiveness of local industries and provide growth engines. do.
